While we were developing the space, we also designed a special bench, specific for the conference room. The bench has a non uniform weight distribution, so you can flip it and make it vertical when it is not needed, in order to occupy less space as possible and make it easy to transport.
OPER.SPACE
OPER.SPACE is a concept for the retraining of the Dumbo space in Bologna, an ex train depot, turning it in the new innovation hub in the city.

The space is a three storey building, with a non conventional shape, very long and narrow.
Our idea was to create something non conventional, as innovation is. Inspired from the shape of the building we developed several areas with different functions.
In the entrance we find the most iconic element: the net, where people can sit, work and chill at the same time, this net will also create links among people and spaces, con- necting the corridors of the first and the second floor, which unless are accessible only through two flights of stairs.
Going through the building we developed several spaces: a co-working area, a lunch area and cafeteria, meeting rooms for corporates, an exhibition point, a conference room, some office-like rooms for students, prototyping laboratories, chilling rooms and even a skype room for online meetings.
