We didn't wanted to create competition through kids, so the main game is collaborative in order to teach kids the power of cooperation with a common aim.
At the end of every game, they will get a common reward, making a step further into the game storyline, and a little personal reward, to show like a badge, in order to involve each kid and make them proud of their new food knowledge.

Through a design thinking approach, we developed a game and a cartoon series about food knowledge and education. The cartoon is shown before the lunch and it serves to create a storyline through daily games and to gather food education. After arriving in the canteen, kids will play some mini-games during lunch, and gather a class reward if they played well.
As teachers and kids said, the canteen moment is always a mess and it's harder to control, and the food served is commonly seen unpleasant from kids.
We tested our solution in some canteens in Bologna, and the results were amazing, kids were involved into the game, getting to know all the ingredients of the meal, and all of them were able to finish the meal.
