The shape is created with a sheet of corten metal, with a wooden table and benches, and some rubber inserts. Lots of functions were added to the table, in order to fit in every situation! An example are the phone holders carved into the wood, or the glow in the dark rubber to make it visible at night time.
SIT-UATION

Studying human behaviors we observed how people approach and live around tables in public and private spaces, focusing on the outdoor context, where reliability and durability are core elements of the design.
Starting from the ergonomics, Sit-uation make a comfortable sitting experience thanks to the rubber inserts, placed in focal points where people unconsciously sit rather than only on the seats. Thanks to the double-level bench people can sit on the table and still have a table in front of them, also the "sitting onto the backrest of a bench" was considered and made possible. The entrance on the bench is facilitated by the shape of the leg, making it easier for people with mobility problems to sit.
