We built a 1 to 1 prototype with all the mechanical parts involved, and controlled it with an Arduino with sensors, the result was a success, validating our design.

A smart motorized window, that opens up folding like an origami, making interesting play of shadows.

Light and shadows are the base of lighting principles, this was our way to play with them, making something not only beautiful but also useful and elegant.
The window is motorized, controlling the opening and closing and regulating them for every moment of the day. The paper-like material creates an illusion of an origami made with windows surfaces.
The folds, derived from the old Japanese art, are able to strengthen the structure and follow the mechanism that regulates the opening, without any parts needed on the surfaces, making the experience seamless.
