I built a working prototype of the game to validate his functions and evaluate the amount of energy generated, reaching a great amount, theoretically able to power up street lamps around a playground.
I collaborated with the designer Giorgio Maccarrone to develop other games and a piezo powered energy playground.

TOWER DROP
A playground game that generates energy playing with it. Kids can see the energy generated in order to understand the importance of making clean energy and how it generates.

Kids will take place on the two opposite seats of the game, and pulling the rope they will be able to lift up easily if they collaborate, hardly if they don't. After reaching the top they release the rope and fall down, spinning the wheels and generating energy from their motion through a dynamo. Thanks to an ingenious system of pulleys the game can be played by a single kid also, without doubling his effort.
Some LED's will light up as the energy is generated, showing to kids the amount of energy generated and making them conscious of the process and the energy that is needed to create it.
